"I went through three other web designers before you came on the scene! I thought I was the ultimate jinxed person when it came to having a website. Honey, I'll sing your praises from sea to shining sea!"

8 Elements EVERY Website Should Have
Web Unlimited is a forward-minded design firm located in College Station, Texas that specializes in web design and development. Web Unlimited has several products that include a small business content management system (CopyWrite CMS) and a school district content management system (SmartISD). Web Unlimited has plans for several more products to be released in 2008.
In July 2003, with $400 and a dream to build great websites
for the Brazos Valley, Tara and Chris
Hunter started Brazos Valley Design out of their two-bedroom
apartment in College Station,
TX. Faced with unemployment due
to both being laid off from their jobs in the prior two months, they decided to
found Brazos Valley Design.
"It was either take unemployment or start a company. The choice was simple," says Chris. "We were both given lemons with our lay offs, so we just decided to do the best we could and make lemonade."
The day after Brazos Valley Design was founded, Chris found their first client, Kathi Appelt, a local children's book author. Chris had known Kathi for a few years and she loved his work, so it was a natural fit.
"I went through three other web designers before [Brazos Valley Design] came on the scene! I thought I was the ultimate jinxed person when it came to having a website," said Kathi. "I'll sing [their] praises from sea to shining sea!"
In the beginning, Tara took care of finances and bookkeeping while Chris concentrated on sales and design. Although this worked for a while, they both agreed that they had hit a roadblock when they started noticing a huge feast-and-famine cycle. Chris would concentrate on sales for a while and then once he got an account, he would work. As this did nothing to help with the finances for the company and any way for the company to grow, they came to realize that they needed help.
In August 2003, through a reference from a good friend and former owner of Texas Computers, Ollie Libdeh, Chris and Tara met Jeremy Hyde, owner of a local computer hardware business named Advanced Micro Solutions. He hired Brazos Valley Design to design a new logo, website, letterhead and envelopes for his business.
Jeremy was so impressed with the work Chris had accomplished that he offered to buy Brazos Valley Design. Faced with a big decision due to the knowledge of the feast-and-famine cycle they were caught in, Chris and Tara decided to sleep on it.
The next week in a meeting with Jeremy, Tara and Chris offered Jeremy 49 percent of Brazos Valley Design with the stipulation that Jeremy help fund the company and head up sales as he already had an established customer base that would benefit from Brazos Valley Design's offerings. Jeremy agreed and Brazos Valley Design, Inc was born.
In early 2006, in an effort to go towards a more national presence, Brazos Valley Design, Inc. purchased the Web Unlimited name and opened up a division that specializes in the Web. Since then, Web Unlimited has increased it's product offering towards content management solutions, search engine optimization, e-commerce, and live video streaming solutions.
Tara, who is now the CEO of Web Unlimited, leads with a ready smile and a firm handshake. Her business philosophy is simple; Create high quality affordable design for small businesses with personalized care. Jeremy, the President, heads up business development and Chris, the Vice President of Operations and Sales, heads up all design and software production and sales.
Web Unlimited has quickly built its client portfolio with clients including corporate, government, non-profit, religious, and education as well as a myriad of small businesses in the Brazos Valley and throughout the United States.
